Out 4-to-6 weeks with Ankle Sprain

Update: Gibson could miss six weeks with a severely sprained left ankle, the latest costly injury for the defending Eastern Conference champions, the Associated Press reports.

.

Analysis: Gibson injured his ankle in the second quarter of Wednesday night’s win over Indiana when he and Pacers guard Travis Diener were diving in the lane for a loose ball. Gibson had to be helped off the court by teammates. This is a bad break for Gibson who was coming off a stellar all-star week performance and a perfect shooting performance in the game he was injured. The newly acquired Wally Szczerbiak and if healthy, Damon Jones will see even more shots now that Gibson is out for a while.
